What you will learn
When I first designed this course, it was essential to strike a balance between inspiration and practicality. You know, I really wanted to empower beginners like you to not only understand the deep connection between what we eat and the mark it leaves on the planet but also to express that through your own creative lens. My team and I have meticulously organized the content and activities so everything you'll engage with has a clear purpose. Whether it's connecting the dots between food systems and environmental impact or helping you find your unique artistic voice in activism, we've made sure the journey is as enlightening as it is structured. I've seen students come out of this experience not just more informed, but incredibly motivated to make a difference, using their creativity as a powerful tool to spark meaningful conversation and change.
Curriculum

Your instructor
As a passionate advocate for sustainable living and an experienced educator in food sustainability and art, I bring to the FoodPrint_Artivism course a rich background in nurturing eco-conscious mindsets through creative engagement. My journey with the CE+ project has been instrumental in honing my expertise in the convergence of ecological responsibility and artistic expression. The project's framework—from orchestrating management activities that ensure precise project execution, to pioneering application activities like immersive virtual seminars and innovative escape room games—has deepened my understanding of effective educational strategies. Through these endeavors, I've trained instructors and facilitated pilot studies, all of which have equipped me with valuable insights into fostering environmental stewardship among diverse audiences.
Furthermore, my commitment extends to disseminating knowledge far and wide, as exemplified by my involvement in CE+'s dissemination activities. This crucial work entails spreading the project's findings to reach and inspire our target groups, helping them make impactful, informed decisions about their food choices and their consequences on the planet. In this course, I aim to share these learnings and to collaborate closely with students, fostering a creative environment where we can explore the power of 'Artivism'—a synergy of art and activism—that champions a more sustainable and just food system.
